The de Havilland D.H.88 Comet is a twin-engined two-seat racing aircraft. The DH.88 was a monoplane crafted of wood because of the shortage of metals during the 2nd World War. Experience with the DH.88 would later be put to use in designing the famous DH.98 Mosquito.
